Clubrooms Open Weekly

Our Clubroom are open on Friday evenings, complete with a bar and canteen facilities from 7:30pm onwards. Entry free for members (please remember to bring along your card!) and $5.00 for non-members. Open to all!

ADS Magazine Survey - CLOSED

Auckland Deaf Society would like to thank all who have taken their time to complete the survey. The draw for $100.00, which took place during the Xmas dinner on 5th December, has been won by Michael Brain.

Congratulations must go to Mary Johnson, she was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, MNZM. What an honour. 
 
A most deserving award. A big thank you once again to Mary for her outstanding work to our Deaf Community local and National.

On the 20th November 2009, Greg proposed Victoria at the Wildfire restaurant “will you marry me?”, she said “yes of course”. Congratulations to you both from all the ADS 
staff and members.

ADS members Conrad and Wendy Schiess are happy to announce their 4th baby girl Lily born on 23rd December 2010 at 11.30am and weight 3.5kgs, Mum and lily 
are well. Congratulation!

In Memoriam

Dean Cantell passed away on the 26 December 2009. 
Deepest condolences goes to his family. 
 
His 4 year old dog Bena has been adopted by our ADS member, Tim Lewin, she is good, friendly, gentle dog and loves to play around with Tim’s flatmates.
 
B3 8 Weeks Challenge - Susan Thomas

I competed in a fitness challenge called “B3 8 weeks Challenge” in October 2009. As the winner of the challenge I won $1,000.00 on December 10th 2009 at the award evening held Kumeu. 

The challenge was organised by the Kumeu Gym and Peter Bristow. Peter is an excellent personal trainer & encouraged all of us involved in the 8 weeks gym exercise & nutritional daily dairy which included boot camps twice a week every Wednesday & Sunday. These activities included beach runs, rugby field, road and some group activities. 

A total of 45 people registered for the challenge. They also had slim system (real healthy) nutrition programme I obtained the results at the end of the 8 weeks.

Bookings office will only action a booking request by email fax or personally coming into the office. Text’s get deleted and as such no record.

Newsletters are sent out to members at the beginning of each month, and there are many social, sporting and recreational groups you can join at ADS. 

Support the Auckland Deaf Community by joining ADS at a price of only $30.00 per year. However, if you are a new member or was not one in the previous year, a $20.00 joining fee is applicable. 

Fees commences on 1st January to 31st December, and includes children (under 16 years of age), Deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people.
