We would like to thank the Deaf Maori for welcoming 21 Senior Citizens onto Ruamoko Marae at Kelston Deaf Education Centre on 18th August.
The presentation of their Maori Culture, the carvings and art etc was very interesting. We would also like to say thanks for providing the lovely lunch, really yummy. After lunch we went to see Deaf School Museum and which we also really enjoyed.

Well we don’t have any fishing photos or fishing news this month. BUT I do have some news.
11 of us have been attending a Boat Master Course, 3 weekends from 9am to 4pm in the Boardroom at the Auckland Deaf Society. Some of us passed the exam while some of us continue to study and will re-sit the exam soon.

On the last day of the course we gave Martin a gift voucher. Thank you Martin Horsfall for the time you spent teaching us and thank you Philippe and Sue for interpreting. A BIG THANK YOU!!
