Clubrooms Open Weekly

Our Clubroom are open on Friday evenings, complete with a bar and canteen facilities from 7:30pm onwards. Entry free for members (please remember to bring along your card!) and $5.00 for non-members. Open to all!

VIDEO RELAY SERVICE (VRS)

We have two equipment (one X-Lite & one   D-Link) available to Members free of charge during these times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am - 1pm. No appointment required. For further details about VRS, please click www.nzrelay.co.nz

  • Club Raffle will operate every Friday (except for public holiday) between 9.00pm – 9.30pm.
  • The Draw will be based on all members who have swiped in their cards PLUS all non-members who have typed in their nameon the space provided on the computer.
  • The entry fee for Non-Member for this Raffle Draw will be $5.00 per Friday visit. There will be no entry fee for Members.

Club Raffle - Prizes

  • There are currently four prizes available for Members and they are in order: 1st - $30.00; 2nd - $20.00; 3rd - $10.00; and Lucky Pot (extra prize): exclusive for Members only, the ‘Lucky Pot’ prize containing the unknown amount of monies paid in by non-members.
  • The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes must be won by a member. If a non-members name is drawn for either 1st, 2nd or 3rd, they will win a free membership and that placement (i.e. 1st, 2nd or 3rd) will be drawn again which must be won by members only.
  • For Non-Members, there is only one prize per Friday, which is a year Free Membership worth $50.
  • New membership card will be issued to the winner two weeks after the prize has been won.
  • For Non-Members only, they will be given only one chance, which can be won from any of the first 3 draws.

  • The draw for Club Jackpot will happen immediately after the draw for Raffle.
  • ALL Members will be entered for Jackpot regardless whether they have swiped their cards or not.

Club Jackpot - Prize

  • Only one Prize can be won by a Member with their own membership card only and must be there on that night to claim it.
  • The jackpot will start at $50, and if no-one wins the jackpot on the night, the next raffle will be for $100 and so on. If the jackpot is won, then the limit is reset (drop) to $50 for the next raffle. If the jackpot total reaches $1000, and no-one wins it will then go to the following week and the jackpot amount is reset (start to drop) back to $50.
  • Unclaimed $1000 will be donated in half to accounts for SSR and Xmas Dinner.
  • For Members who live outside Auckland (over 30km radius from ADS base), they will be given 5 chances per year (1st January to 31st December) to decide which Fridays they can choose to enter the Jackpot draw.
  • They are to fax their name/member number to clubroom’s fax machine (09) 6306970 before 8pm each Friday. Alternatively, they can email their details to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it There is no text service available.
  • Latest amount of prize for Jackpot for that particular Friday will be seen on the ADS website every week, uploaded by Sunday night 9:00pm, and also on noticeboard in the clubroom.

    Newsletters are sent out to members at the beginning of each month, and there are many social, sporting and recreational groups you can join at ADS. 

    Support the Auckland Deaf Community by joining ADS at a price of only $30.00 per year. However, if you are a new member or was not one in the previous year, a $20.00 joining fee is applicable. 

    Fees commences on 1st January to 31st December, and includes children (under 16 years of age), Deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people.
